Jaycees Fall Golf Outing 2008

Fall Golf Outing

The Lake Geneva Jaycees are bringing back the Fall Golf Outing

Date:   Tuesday September 30th
Time:   12:30 Shotgun Start
Where:   Alpine Valley Resort near East Troy
Why:   Just to have fun and drink beer
Cost:   $50.00 per guy includes 18 holes w/ cart and steak dinner (6pm) afterwards

We are bringing back the end of the golf season fun event that passed us by last year.   Alpine Valley won’t be in the greatest shape, but we should be golfing before they airrate the greens.   We are going to have 14 hole prizes and 4 hole events, so that is why I sent this out to a lot of my vendors.   Everyone is welcome to golf, but if you can’t if you would be willing to donate a premium prize to the club that would be great.   This is a guys only event, and of course after dinner we are having an after golf party to continue the festivities.   If we have enough prizes we are looking to give out prizes to first, second, draw of the hat and losers, maybe even third place.

The four event holes will be a fun little twist to the game.   On one of the par 3’s you have the option to throw your ball or hit your ball (Eck Rules).   One hole will be a one-club hole.   Your team must decide what club everyone will use for that entire hole, which must be the same club for everyone.   One hole will be play from the ladies tee for $10.00 a team.   This must be pre-paid before we start golf that day or earlier, and it will definitely be on a hold that will give your team a good advantage.   The other event hole TBD.   Mulligans will be available for 5.00 per guy or 5 for 20.00.   5 is the max amount of mulligans you can have per team, and they are individual mulligans only (not team mulligans).   So if you want everyone to have one mulligan you can do that, and then one person may have two.   If you use a mulligan on a hole event prize, you cannot win though.   Only players using their first shot are elligible for the hole event prize.

Try pre-paying ahead of time if you want to write this off for a business expense or whatever.   Alpine Valley is only taking a check from the club for the total amount.   Don’t ask me why, but they do this every year.   If you want to use a credit card call me at the Lake Geneva Pick’n whatever (number below) and I can run it through the store vs. the LG Jaycees account.   Or if you want you can bring cash the day of the event and pay that way that is fine as well.

Any question please let one of us know.   As soon as you have a foursome also let us know so we can give Alpine Valley an accurate count.   Contact either myself, Matt Stienbrink at wisconsinfatts@yahoo.com or Dan Brenton at dbrenton@firstbankingcenter.com or Craig Evans at cevan1@amfam.com .   Remember this is a guys only event, but an event to bring your vendors, friends, etc. or any possible new members.
