About the Ice Fishing Derby

Ice Fishing Derby Header

The Lake Geneva Jaycees Annual Ice Fishing Derby was first held on February 9th, 2008.  The Annual Event attracts ice fishermen from all throughout the Lakes Area including Wisconsin and Illinois.  Each year, ice permitting, the event takes place on Geneva Lake in Geneva Bay, in downtown Lake Geneva.  The first 100 children receive prizes. There are prizes awarded for both children and adult divisions.  Children under 12 are always free with the purchase of an adult ticket.

The Jaycees put on the event in order to raise money for our community by funding several programs throughout the year.  We’re always looking for local business to donate cash and prizes for this great and exciting yearly event.  It’s a great way to get your name out and help give back to your community at the same time. We have several sponsorship levels ranging from $500 to $50.  You’ll get your name on our banner at the event, on our web site prior to the event, and in hand outs and other promotional materials delivered prior to and during the event.

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please visit our sponsor information pages  here.

We hope you’ll join us every year for the fun and fantastic prizes.  Your local Jaycees members are on site cooking brats, dogs, and keeping that coco warm!Ice Fishing Derby Ice
