Jaycees buy City Street Department Tool Box

The Street Dept came to the Jaycees last year looking for some assistance in purchasing a much needed tool box.  Not many people realize that the Street Dept has a staff of people that are charged with maintaining the equipment the city has, like our snow plows, mowers, vacuums, street sweeper, etc.   When the Street Dept approached the Jaycees with this donation opportunity the club jumped at the chance to be of help.  As Jaycees we really recognize the importance of the community services, and the people that work so hard throughout the year to make sure our city runs well, is clean and safe.  We’re proud to have been able to buy the entire tool box for the Street Dept lock stock and barrel and are currently working towards another commitment to the great folks at the Street Dept.  They give us a tremendous amount of help with Venetian Festival, which is our primary fund raiser.  Without their help, and commitment we would not be able to meet all the obligations we have throughout the year.  More information about this and other great things the Jaycees are able to do in Lake Geneva are listed at our web site at http://lakegenevajaycees.org
