Thanksgiving Generosity 2011

This years Thanksgiving Generosity was the biggest ever.  The Jaycees committed a large donation to both the Lake Geneva Food Pantry and the WC Food Pantry.  On November 16th the Jaycees met at Piggly Wiggly to deliver what would be the first of THREE HUGE deliveries of food.
 
For this year’s program the Jaycees teamed up with the WC Food Pantry and Steinbrink’s Piggly Wiggly to invite the entire community to get involved in the giving!
 
The Jaycees offered to match dollar for dollar, dinner for dinner every donation made at participating Piggly Wiggly stores.

As a result the Jaycees were able to more than triple their initial donation amount.  This meant that over 350 Thanksgiving Dinners were made available between both food pantries.  The dinners consisted of a large family size JennyO Turkey, rolls, corn, green beans, stuffing, cranberries, potatoes, and Pumpkin pie and COOL WHIP!
 
In all Jaycees made three separate deliveries over a period of three weeks leading up to Thanksgiving! Great job guys!
